September reads

Not only did I completely fail in my October horror movie watching, I also failed to update what I read in September in a timely fashion.  (Also-also, I only read two books in September.)  I shall endeavor to do better.

  • King's Cage by Victoria Avelard.  I'm still liking this Red Queen series but I feel like it's got diminishing returns.  Anyway, if you've read this far in the series, might as well keep going.  I am.
  • Down Cemetery Road by Mick Herron.  After a neighborhood explosion, a local woman searches obsessively for a missing girl, aided by a local private investigator.  Although I thought it odd that, for a series apparently led by the P.I., said P.I. scarcely comes into play in this first book.  (It's all about her in #2.)  I did like it quite well - I'm a Mick Herron fan - and apparently there's a t.v. series based on the books - companion to the Slow Horses.
I did better in October.
